Simon Cowell has revealed hopes that American Idol can continue to run for 10 years.
The new series of the US version of Idol, beginning in January, is more emotional than ever, says the reality TV creator.
"More have really broken down than ever before," he revealed to ExtraTV. "And I think that's because number one, it's tough in that room. Number two, they realise what's at stake."
He added that the show could be around for a long time, saying: "If it goes five years, they'll go another five years."
