The Crossroads actress said that she would be a perfect addition to the Fox series should Jennifer Lopez decline to return to the musical competition.
"I think I'd be great at it because of my experience in my music career," Manning told BlogTalkRadio. "Jennifer Lopez should either move over or let me join!"
Manning went on to detail the numerous qualifications that make her an ideal candidate for the position.
"All my experience from being a ballerina when I was a young girl to becoming a jazz dancer and then my acting career and my music career, I would be a good judge because I've done it all at this point," she explained. "I'm kind of working on that and definitely putting it out there because I think I'd be a good fit."
Manning has previously starred on Sons of Anarchy, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Hawaii Five-0.
It was reported last week that Lopez is close to signing a deal to return to American Idol.
