'American Idol': Jessica Sanchez voted best of Top 13

By
Jessica Sanchez has topped this week's American Idol Digital Spy poll.

For this week's Top 13 episode, Sanchez sang a stirring rendition of the late Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You', which singer Mary J Blige helped her perfect in a mentoring session. The performance earned Sanchez a whopping 44% of the vote from readers.

Coming in second place was Phillip Phillips, whose cover of the Stevie Wonder classic 'Superstition' impressed 12.1% of voters.

Hollie Cavanagh rounded out the top three performances with 9.1% of the vote. The judges loved her version of 'All the Man that I Need', which Randy Jackson said she "nailed".

Also turning in decent performances were Colton Dixon, DeAndre Brackensick, Elise Testone, Erika van Pelt, Heejun Han, Joshua Ledet, and Skylar Laine who all earned mostly positive comments during the night.

Less convincing performers included Jermaine Jones, who received just 1.5% in votes for his version of 'Knocks Me Off My Feet'.

The judges had a lukewarm response to Shannon Magrane's shaky attempt at singing 'I Have Nothing', putting her second from last in the vote with 1.3%.

Finally, earning a measly 0.9%, Jeremy Rosado's 'Ribbon in the Sky' came dead last in the poll.

Tune into American Idol on Fox tonight at 8/7c to find out who goes home!
