American Idol's remaining eight contestants took a step back in time tonight as they performed songs first released in the 1980s, mentored by No Doubt's Gwen Stefani and Tony Kanal. The tracks on offer ranged from a Simply Red ballad to Flashdance's instantly-recognisable theme tune. Whitney Houston, The Pointer Sisters and Genesis were also among those given the Idol treatment by the Top 8.

This poll will close at on Thursday, April 5 at 7pm EDT (Friday, April 6 at midnight UK time).
