'Idol' Hollie Cavanagh: 'Christina Aguilera wouldn't let me sing Hurt'

Former American Idol star Hollie Cavanagh has revealed that she was not allowed to sing Christina Aguilera's 'Hurt' on the series.

The 18-year-old Liverpool native disclosed to TV Guide that she most regrets never being able to perform Aguilera's 2006 hit on American Idol.



"I really wanted to sing 'Hurt' by Christina Aguilera, but she doesn't ever clear her songs, so I could never sing it," Cavanagh said.

She also admitted that she had a feeling she would be eliminated on last Thursday's (May 10) results show.

"I kind of saw it coming in a sense," she said. "I just felt it. I knew it was my time to go. I can't really be disappointed or sad because it's the Top Four… I was just proud of myself at that point."

American Idol continues Wednesday and Thursday on Fox.
