Rumours that the judge would not be back began circulating earlier this month, though Lopez clarified that she has not yet made any decision about her future on the show.
Speaking to host Ryan Seacrest for his KIIS-FM radio show after the American Idol finale, Lopez admitted that she will have to figure out if her judging duties fit into her schedule.
"You know what, I love this show," she said. "I love it, I love it. We'll have to see how everything falls, but it's not because I don't want to be here. It's not that."
Referring to her 4-year-old twins Max and Emme, Lopez added: "I got two little coconuts. It's a lot of weighing and balancing and deciding."
Lopez also admitted that she is worried about her children growing up quickly.
"I think about that all the time," she said. "I'm like, 'They're not going to be this little forever'. It's a lot. You know what? I'm very blessed - high class problems."
American Idol alum Scotty McCreery has revealed that he would love Lopez to remain on the judging panel, while Cheryl Cole has been rumoured as a possible new judge on the show.
