TMZ reports that the Georgia pawn shop run by the American Idol winner's parents was robbed last night (June 10).
Sources claim that over $4,000 (£2,572) in merchandise was stolen, including the entire cash register.
Around 25 police officers apparently came to the scene after the theft was reported, but an arrest has yet to be made.
Phillips and his parents were in California where the 21-year-old musician is recovering from recent kidney surgery, when the burglary took place.
The singer underwent surgery on several occasions during his time on American Idol, where he recently triumphed over runner-up Jessica Sanchez.
Phillips is expecting to release his first album later this year.
