Carey signed on as the newest addition to American Idol's judging panel and has now lobbied Kravitz to join as well by posting an image of the duo on Twitter.

"@AmericanIdol What's going on? need the info!! What about this combo? : ) if we could ever get him to do it," Carey wrote in a caption for the photograph.
Kravitz appeared open to becoming an American Idol in his response to old friend Carey.
"Girl, we've known each other since we were teenagers. How fun would that be?!" he replied.
Rumours have run rampant in recent weeks on who Fox will hire to sit beside Carey on the panel.
Nick Jonas has confirmed he is in talks with American Idol producers, with P Diddy also apparently in consideration.
This week, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj were both reported to be in serious negotiations with Fox to join the series as well.
American Idol returns to Fox in 2013.
