"It would be so fun to see what she does because she's so unpredictable. I met her the other day, and she is so sweet," the Sparkle star said of Minaj.

Country music star Urban is also rumoured to be in talks to join American Idol's judging panel for a reported $3-4 million (£1.9-2.5m).

Sparks said of Urban potentially judging American Idol: "I think it would be cool to bring somebody with a country flair who has that experience."
