"I don't believe it," Hudson told TMZ. "I think it's just for ratings for the show."
Video footage of Carey and Minaj arguing on the set of American Idol emerged earlier this month.
"I told them, I'm not f**kin' putting up with her f**kin' highness over there," Minaj screams in the clip.
Minaj has since denied claims that she threatened to shoot Carey, with producers also playing down claims of a feud between the pair.
