'American Idol' judges Q&A with Ryan Seacrest - video

American Idol returns to TV screens next week as new judges Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Keith Urban join Randy Jackson on the panel.

Idol host Ryan Seacrest moderated a live interactive question and answer session with the judges earlier on Wednesday (January 9). If you missed the event as it happened, catch up below:



The panel answered questions submitted via the American Idol Facebook page and on Twitter, as well as from advance premiere screenings across the United States.

The new season of American Idol starts with a two-night premiere next Wednesday and Thursday (January 16 and 17) on Fox.

UK viewers will be able to watch the new season on 5* when the first episode debuts at 8pm on Thursday, January 17.
