Haley Scarnato has become the fifth hopeful to be eliminated from this year's American Idol.
The 24-year-old from San Antonio, Texas failed to impress the judges with her rendition of disco classic 'Turn The Beat Around'.
Randy Jackson said that her performance was "really karaoke" and Simon Cowell claimed that he "couldn't understand most of what" she was singing.
However, Scarnato vowed to continue her singing career, saying: "American Idol truly is a blessing. The door opens a little bit, and it's given me the fire to really continue this. I'm living what I've been trying to get to all my life."
There are now seven remaining hopefuls competing for this year's American Idol crown, which will be decided in May.
