"American Idol's" judging panel are game to return for a second season.
Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, speaking at the TV Critics Association press tour in Pasadena Monday, said that they'd be happy to be back for the next talent search, which is penned to premiere January on FOX.
"This has really been an amazing experience," said Abdul. "It's been joyful as can be. I'm proud to be a part of it."
The third judge, acid-tongued Brit Simon Cowell, said he was "definitely interested" in returning. "I think the important thing at the moment is just to get past this series, you know what I mean?" he said. "These competitions work if we really, really create a star at the end. Otherwise, there's no credibility to the show."
Catch "American Idol" tonight at 9.30PM / 8.30c when another contestant will be voted off.
