Bono, Fergie for second 'Idol Gives Back'
Published Tuesday, Mar 4 2008, 10:44 GMT | By Dave West

The first of the special American Idol editions aired last year and raised $76m for children and young people in America and Africa. Other stars at this year's April 9 show will include series four winner Carrie Underwood.
It was set up by music entrepreneur Simon Fuller, who created Idol, and Richard Curtis, who is behind Red Nose Day in the UK. Viewers can vote on their favourites as usual but are also asked to donate extra cash.
A two-hour event will be split between Idol's regular set and the Kodak Theater. Whether Bono and Fergie will perform or just appear has not yet been confirmed.
