In an interview with Us Weekly, both Maroney and Douglas suggested that they would love to return to the series as official contestants.
"I definitely would [do Dancing with the Stars]," Maroney revealed to the publication, adding: "It would just be an amazing experience."
Douglas added: "I love the dynamic and being paired with a partner, having so much fun behind the scenes and backstage... so why not?"
The Fierce Five have been on a whirlwind tour of the US since taking the gold in the London Olympic Games over the summer.
Maroney was even joined by President Barack Obama in recreating her now-famous 'not impressed' face during a White House visit two weeks ago.
Douglas is to be featured on Barbara Walters's 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012 television special on December 12 on ABC.
