Marini 'needs surgery for Dancing injury'

Dancing With The Stars contestant Gilles Marini has revealed that he is preparing to undergo shoulder surgery when the show ends.

The Sex And The City: The Movie star, who suffered a separated shoulder during rehearsals last month, told OK! that he was in agony during his routine on Monday evening.

"We never talked about it on the show. I hurt so bad - my shoulder - that I need surgery. I have a separated shoulder. My best friend is Advil," he explained.

Professional dancing partner Cheryl Burke added: "The doctor said he'll be fine until the show is over."

The eighth season of the ABC contest has been plagued with injuries, with Jackass star Steve-O and former contestants Steve Wozniak and Holly Madison all suffering knocks in training.
