Last season, several contestants including Ty Murray, Holly Madison, Jewel and Steve-O were injured on the competition series, while the 25-year-old professional dancer also said that the hours spent rehearsing have been reduced, E! reports.
She said: "There's a rule now that we're not allowed to train for more than five hours a day for the first two weeks. After every two hours, you have to have a 30 minute break. And we have to have one full day off a week."
Burke added that she agreed with the changes being made, but that the training time could be dropped even more, saying: "I think it should be a four hours' [reduction]. Your body still needs to get into it."
Dancing With The Stars executives are also said to be contemplating retooling the number of contestants allowed to compete on the reality programme.
The names of the celebrities taking part this year will be announced on August 17, with the new season scheduled to debut on September 21 on ABC.
