The MTV star was announced as one of the celebrities who will take part in the show's 11th season during a live press conference yesterday.
Speaking to Us Weekly, his castmate said: "I will be rooting for him every week, nothing like a little Jersey on the dance floor!"
She added: "I just hope his partner knows how to fist pump."
Other stars who are competing on the ABC show include Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol, David Hasselhoff, Michael Bolton and The Situation's fellow MTV star Audrina Patridge, who shot to fame on The Hills.
When asked by Radar Online for her thoughts on The Situation on the dancefloor, Patridge replied: "I'm sure he'll do good! It will be interesting."
Dancing With The Stars premieres September 20 on ABC.
