The Jersey Shore star was sent home after landing in the bottom two alongside Bristol Palin during tonight's results show.
He had scored 28 points for his Argentine tango performance with Karina Smirnoff during Monday night's broadcast.
All judges criticised the performance for its lack of technical skill and musicality but admitted that his effort was apparent.
Judge Len Goodman described it as "consistently bad" while Bruno Tonioli called it a "terrible mess".
Speaking after his elimination, The Situation said: "I definitely was upset by my low scores. I told myself that if I got eliminated today, I'd put it all on the floor last night so I felt good about it.
"I really hoped for higher scores, but it is what it is. I tried my best but someone's got to go home. I made it to the fourth round and that was my best, I guess. I'm not a dancer but I tried to practise. It's definitely hard."
Tonight's episode featured performances by Goo Goo Dolls with a medley of their greatest hits compiled specifically for the programme, as well as Florence and the Machine with their hit single 'Dog Days Are Over'.
The professional dancers also performed an Argentine tango as a group before the live audience.
Dancing With The Stars continues next Monday on ABC.
