The couple earned 27 out of a possible 30 points for their paso doble on Monday evening and a further 26 out of 30 points for their waltz.
"Was so pleased with bristols dances tonight. Nice to see her come out of her shell more and more :) you all mean the world to us :) (sic)" wrote Ballas on his Twitter account.
Palin told ABC 7 after the show that she felt "blessed" to have been given the opportunity to appear on the programme, adding: "This means so much to me and I think I've really grown as a person and become so much more confident through this experience."
She was also asked by co-host Brooke Burke on last night's episode whether she was ready for the final if she secured a place, replying: "Yes! Please keep us in!"
"I'm so proud of her," added Ballas. "I think out of all my seven seasons this is one of my proudest moments. Taking her from a real non-dancer to this far. I'm so proud."
