David Arquette has said that he is looking forward to learning how to waltz on Dancing with the Stars.

The Scream actor was announced as one of the celebrity cast members for the upcoming 13th season of the ABC competition during Monday night's Bachelor Pad episode.

Speaking on Good Morning America today, he said: "I'm just learning the first [dance] and it's an unknown language to me!

"I've always wanted to know how to waltz. I'm learning the Viennese waltz and it's really hard and really takes a lot of little detail but I'm excited to learn it. I've always wanted to dance at a ball."

Meanwhile, in a separate interview with The AP, the actor joked: "My personal style is just the boogie! Get down, get down... but that has no room in this competition!"

Arquette also expressed his excitement at joining the show on his Twitter account following last night's announcement, writing: "It's official I'm doing Dancing with the Stars! I hope you find it entertaining and FUN! Thank you for the opportunity! (sic)"
