Chaz Bono: 'I'm not bitter or angry over Dancing with the Stars exit'

By
Chaz Bono has insisted that he is not angry over his elimination from Dancing with the Stars.

The author and activist was sent home during Tuesday night's live results show after receiving the lowest combination of judges' scores and viewer votes.

While Bono previously confessed to being hurt by panelist Bruno Tonioli's comments that he was "like... a cute penguin trying to be a big, menacing bird of prey", he said that he is grateful for the experience of being on the show.

"I was quite angry [on Monday] night. But I feel really good today. I'm not leaving the show bitter or angry or anything," Bono told People following his elimination.

"I'm grateful for Lacey and everybody I worked with on the show. It was a wonderful, life-changing experience. I'm so glad I did it."

Bono and professional partner Lacey Schwimmer previously spoke out against the judges' feedback, calling their comments "rude" and "unnecessary".

Bono said that he did not appreciate the comments as "being compared to an animal does not help [him] to become a better dancer".
