The tennis player became the first celebrity to be voted off the show in last night's instalment of the competition.
Dovolani, her professional partner, has now told People that he loved working with her.
"Martina's probably one of the most wonderful people I've ever had the chance to work with," he said. "Not only is she a female icon, but she has probably the kindest heart I've ever met. So I'm actually pretty destroyed right now."
However, Navratilova - who suggested that Roshon Fegan and Katherine Jenkins are the frontrunners - vowed to keep dancing in the future.
"I love it," she said. "I will continue taking lessons. I enjoy what it does to my body and my mind."
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8/7c and Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC.
