The opera singer had to stop her salsa with professional partner Mark Ballas yesterday (March 14) and broke down in tears.
"I just felt my back go as I bent back," Jenkins was reported to have said backstage. "I'm so sorry if I've let you down, Mark."
The judges awarded the couple 27 out of 30 for the routine and Jenkins took to Twitter today to give fans an update on her condition.
"Thank you for all your concerned tweets," she said.
"I'm with the Doctor, he says it was a reflectorical spasm in my lower back."
