By
Dancing with the Stars and Live! with Kelly will take part in ABC's 'Day of Giving' for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

ABC is organising a network-spanning fundraiser on Monday, November 5 for those affected by the storm, which has left at least 92 people dead in the US and destroyed property throughout the East Coast.

Good Morning America will start the 'Day of Giving' with a pledge drive during its 8am ET hour on Monday hosted by anchor George Stephanopoulos.

Live! with Kelly is continuing the fundraising efforts during its Halloween show, which was delayed to Monday due to the impact of the 'Superstorm'.

ABC's other daytime programmes The View, The Chew and Katie will also include segments on how viewers can help with the crisis.

Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars is carrying on the fundraiser in primetime with specially taped inserts about the impact Hurricane Sandy has had on the people of the East Coast.

The coverage will also extend to a special episode of Nightline focused entirely on the tragedy, while Jimmy Kimmel Live! will also highlight ways viewers can donate.

ABC has announced it will donate $1million (£621,620) to the American Red Cross and an additional million to charity organisations in the region hit by Hurricane Sandy.

The 'Day of Giving' will come just days after NBC holds fundraising telethon Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together on Friday, with Sting, Christina Aguilera and Bruce Springsteen among the scheduled performers.
