Roger Daltrey - from 'Living Legend' (Season 7, Episode 9)
The Who frontman, who of course provided CSI's catchy theme song, also popped up early in the show's seventh season as vengeful mob boss Mickey Dunn. Daltrey's music has been acclaimed for years, but we think it's about time that his under-rated acting skills were reevaluated! Surely everyone remembers his villainous performance in classic '90s sci-fi series Sliders? No? Just me then. Daltrey's CSI character manages to survive an assassin's bullet and ends up facing a long prison sentence for his murderous crimes.

Charlie Sheen - from 'Two and a Half Deaths' (Season 8, Episode 16)
A crossover with Two and a Half Men has to be one of the strangest ideas to have sprung from the minds of the CSI writing team. While investigating the death of a well-known TV star (Katey Sagal), Grissom and co. stumble upon Sheen, making a 'winning' cameo. His Two and a Half Men co-stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones also made uncredited appearances, while CSI's George Eads (Nick Stokes) popped up in the Men episode 'Fish in a Drawer'. Luckily for Sheen, Nick's equipment didn't pick up any traces of spilt tiger blood and couldn't identify his Adonis DNA.

Taylor Swift - from 'Turn, Turn Turn' (Season 9, Episode 16)
If poor Taylor thought that being called out by Kanye West was as bad as life can get, she might want to spare a thought for her CSI character Haley Jones, who left this mortal coil after a (literal) run-in with a pair of scissors. To make matters worse, the troubled Haley had grown close to poor Nick Stokes, and is eventually killed on his birthday. Country music star Swift acquits herself well in the role, and we're happy for her. But Beyoncé had one of the best CSI cameos of all time - OF ALL TIME!

Justin Bieber - from 'Shock Waves' and 'Targets of Obsession' (Season 11, Episodes 1 & 15)
The Biebs appeared twice in the most recent season of CSI as serial bomber Jason McCann. In the season premiere, McCann detonated explosives at a police funeral (for shame!) and managed to escape a prison sentence, all the while maintaing that 'butter wouldn't melt' expression. Bieber returned later in the season for vengeance, but this time he was taken down, with extreme prejudice, by Nick Stokes. Maybe old Nick had just heard 'Baby' one time too many?

Dita Von Teese - from 'A Kiss Before Frying' (Season 11, Episode 12)
Glamorous burlesque model Dita Von Teese appeared in another of this year's CSI eps as (you guessed it) a burlesque dancer who shares a brief (and somewhat unlikely) romance with the nerdy Greg (Eric Szmanda). Unfortunately for everyone's favourite lab geek, Von Teese's character turns out to be a cold-blooded killer and is eventually taken into custody. Better luck next time, Greg!
