'American Horror Story': First look in pictures

If you ask us here at Tube Talk, there isn't quite enough horror on television. Sure, certain shows have their scary moments, but we're after some edge-of-the-seat, nail-biting thrillers.

Well, FX is hoping that it can help us out with its brand new show American Horror Story - the scares are built right into the name!

The series has a great pedigree, coming from Glee's executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk and featuring a cast studded with stars like Friday Night Lights' Connie Britton, True Blood's Denis O'Hare and Six Feet Under's Frances Conroy.

Whether the show's actually any good remains to be seen (there have been slightly mixed reviews from the Television Critics Association press tour), but with talent like that behind it we're definitely keeping an open mind and hoping for a heart-racing ride.
