In anticipation for the smorgasbord of gossip, scoop and telly fanfare, we've compiled a quick guide to the most exciting panel events across the weekend.
Bye, bye Pond... Doctor Who!
Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, Caroline Skinner... The Moff, new trailer footage, possible 50th anniversary news... and breathe. Doctor Who has increased its status and fanbase in the US hugely in recent years and this Comic-Con panel on Sunday (July 15) will give US Who lovers the chance to get up close with its stars.
The panel will be a chance for Karen and Arthur to bid farewell to fans ahead of their final series with the show *wipes away tears* and if the questions from the audience are good enough, Moffat may even let slip some hints about season premiere 'Asylum of the Daleks', Jenna-Louise Coleman's role and the much-anticipated 50th anniversary celebrations in 2013.

Game of Thrones is back!
The overwhelming highlight and by some margin the most popular panel of Comic-Con 2011 was the Game of Thrones extravaganza. Featuring Peter Dinklage suggesting that the series should end with a "dance number", the event was a fitting love-in for cult TV fan's favourite new show.
2012 features a less star-studded panel of guests (most significantly, no Dinklage), but Alfie Allen, Emilia Clarke, Michelle Fairley and Richard Madden will all be attending and with the possibility of season three casting news and scoop being revealed, this is the place to be at 2.45pm on Friday (July 13). As a teaser for the fans, some ace new posters and artwork have been released especially for Comic Con:
Geek heaven - A Firefly reunion!
It's the ultimate comic-con TV geek-fest to end all comic-con geek-fests. Firefly, the cult TV show that has possibly had more "bring it back" campaigns than any other, celebrates the 10th anniversary of the sci-fi classic.
Don't go expecting a shock announcement of a full reunion (although stranger things have happened), instead savour the magic of seeing show creator Joss Whedon on stage with stars Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher, Michael Fairman. Never-before-seen footage and "buzz-worthy surprises" have been promised, but essentially this is just a chance for Firefly fans to shed some tears at what might have been.

Elementary - A disaster waiting to happen?
There will probably be more exciting and talked-about panels at Comic-Con, but CBS's take on Sherlock Holmes has got us rubbernecking and we won't be able to resist taking a peek at this panel on Thursday (July 12).
Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu's take on the Holmes/Watson dynamic has been sneered at and derided by those who have fallen in love with the BBC adaptation, but who knows, maybe this US reboot will be even more thrilling than Cumberbatch and Freeman's double header. (Note: It probably won't).
Any new footage or hints about villains in the show are eagerly anticipated (by us) and it will be interesting to hear the show's teams views on early criticism of the project.
Community - Laughs and fireworks
NBC's cult comedy Community was one of the most popular panel events at last year's Comic-Con, but this year's event looks likely to be a much more serious affair. Following the drawn-out exit of showrunner and creator Dan Harmon earlier this year, the panel represents the first chance for new bosses David Guarascio and Moses Port to make their mark on fans.
The brilliant and beautiful Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi and Yvette Nicole Brown will all be in attendance to keep the laughs rolling, but watch out for potential fireworks if there are any passionate Harmon-ites asking questions in the audience.
