Cowell tips Cole to win 'X Factor'

Simon Cowell has reportedly claimed that the winner of this year's X Factor will be an act mentored by Cheryl Cole.

According to The Mirror, Cowell was overheard praising the talents of Cole's girls group comprised of Laura White, Alexandra Burke and Diana Vickers.

A source said: "He knows Cheryl's acts really have got the X Factor. He is going to fight until the end and is by no means throwing in the towel.

"But he was impressed with what Cheryl did with the girls and congratulated her through gritted teeth. Simon has been saying it looks like a young female singer will triumph."

Cowell's friend Sinitta added: "I overheard Simon saying to Cheryl, 'Can I have one of your girls, or even half of one'."
