Axed X Factor star Austin Drage has claimed that he was overlooked by his mentor Simon Cowell.
The 22-year-old singer, who was eliminated last weekend, revealed that Eoghan Quigg, 16, is Cowell's main focus this year.
"Simon saw other characters and maybe he forgot about me," Drage told the Daily Record. "Possibly, he was concentrating on Eoghan. He's got all the High School Musical thing going for him."
Drage also admitted that he was unhappy when the show's stylists started to make drastic changes to his image for the live shows.
"They were trying to mould me so much and it just wasn't working for me," he explained. "I don't think I got the chance to show the public who I was. They were trying to create something with me but I don't think they had an idea what.
"The dark hair and look at the start of the show wasn't me. The week I did Billie Jean when I was in a pair of jeans and a T-shirt that was finally me but it took a lot to get to that."
