Ruth Lorenzo has admitted that she feels stunned after escaping elimination from The X Factor last night.
The Spanish singer was saved by the judges after competing against Laura White in the final showdown. It was the second time that she had been in the bottom two.
"You know what, I never thought I was going to go this far in this competition, and I thought when I was standing with Laura onstage that I was going to go home," Lorenzo explained afterwards on ITV2's Xtra Factor. "I feel happy because to me she's one of the best singers in this competition. It's just amazing and I've got no words, I really have no words."
Asked to comment on the viewer vote, she replied: "I just think it's very hard right now. Everyone is so amazing. Laura, to me she's one of the best voices in this competition and it's really hard to vote. The public must go mental because JLS, Alex, everyone is so amazing. Really, I just feel so happy that I've gone this far."
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 7.20pm on ITV1.
