Alexandra Burke has become the latest X Factor star to be hindered by throat problems.
The 20-year-old singer consulted a Harley Street specialist this week amid fears that her troubles could affect her performance on tonight's show.
Burke was eventually given the all-clear to perform but has been on a vow of silence after being advised to rest her voice outside of rehearsals in a masterclass with Take That.
Diana Vickers was permitted to miss a live round earlier this month after being struck down with laryngitis, but she made a return to the ITV1 programme last weekend.
Tonight's live show will see the remaining acts tackling Take That songs in an attempt to secure a place in the final five.
