The remaining six X Factor participants took to the stage to perform Take That songs on last night's episode.

Here's what the judges had to say:


Alexandra Burke - 'Relight My Fire'

Louis: "You are what The X Factor is all about. You are young, talented and you didn't copy the original. People at home don't know your amazing personality; I want you in the final! I think you're the best female singer we have had since Leona."

Simon: "I don't think that you have enough credit about what an incredible performer you are. We don't have many performers like you. You're 19 years old, I hope you're safe. That's the best version of that performance I've heard."

Dannii: "You really warmed up halfway through. You looked really nervous because it's the first performance."

Cheryl: "You are on fire tonight! You looked like you thoroughly enjoyed yourself and I am so proud of you!"


Ruth Lorenzo - 'Love Ain't Here Anymore'

Louis: "You are a true rock chick! That was a power house performance. I can't fault you."

Dannii: "I can't imagine anyone else taking a Take That song and doing that to it! I'm so proud of you."

Simon: "I've got to say normally you are better in the sing-off as you choose a song that suits you, but this time I thought it was absolutely sensational. If Dannii chose the song, it was a brilliant song for you. You did it brilliantly, best performance to date."

Cheryl: "I'm glad you took Gary [Barlow]'s advice as it was nice we heard the softer side of your voice. What outstandingly amazes me about you, we are the same age and you have moved to another country and you're learning a new culture, living in a house with strangers. I find you truly inspirational."


JLS - 'Million Love Songs'

Dannii: "I enjoy you guys, you're all grown up from the start of the show. I've wanted to see you in this competition. There were no songs stolen, you wanted this one!"

Cheryl: "I missed a bit of the chemistry tonight, you normally have a bit of banter but you guys were under the most pressure. Vocally, together, it's the best you've done."

Simon: "This song was changed 24 hours ago because of a mix up between you and Louis. But you absolutely pulled it together. You looked like you have been together for a long time. It was authentic, a brilliant choice of song and you are one of the best groups we've had."

Louis: "I am in charge of JLS. I think you're the first band that can win The X Factor. Dannii, you did nick their song!"


Rachel Hylton - 'Rule The World'

Louis: "I have to say, great song choice. You're a bit of a lose cannon on the show, but you look happy and you have soul."

Cheryl: "It's a great song choice, it's nice to hear a softer side to your voice. You actually are a soul singer, that's what you need to do for the rest of the competition. But I really enjoyed it."

Dannii: "I would never ever chose anyone else's songs, I had all the right to chose that song!"

Simon: "Apart from the insane acrobatics, it was actually a very good performance. We do take it in turns with songs, you have to protect your artist. If you don't like it, Louis, tough!"


Diana Vickers - 'Patience'

Louis: "That is my favourite Take That song, you made it your own. You sounded contemporary, and you have a great recording voice. There is a lot of competition; there are a few spot on girls."

Dannii: "You look the best you have ever looked, and it's so nice to see you happy at the end!"

Cheryl: "I'm so glad you're back, Gary gave you a booster, and I thank him for that. You look absolutely gorgeous tonight."

Simon: "There were some shaky moments, but in a weird way that's what makes it great. We will not be accepting Gary's kind offer for a recording contract. I adore you but I think you were given an impossible song. I hope you're back next week!"


Eoghan Quigg - 'Never Forget'

Louis: "Every week you walk out on stage and you have no fear. You have everything going for you, you have Irish charm and you have youth. To me you're like FedEx, you always deliver!"

Dannii: "Best performance yet, and one of the best of the night."

Cheryl: "What a great ending, glad you sung the high notes. After that performance, I think I'm in love with you!"

Simon: "In my opinion, it was one of the best performances of the night because it was believable. It was a brilliant choice of song, if I do say so myself! You took complete control, you had personality and you proved you are a popstar."
