Cole 'only X Factor judge to get pay rise'

Cheryl Cole will reportedly be the only X Factor judge to receive a salary increase this year.

The Girls Aloud singer will be granted a 34% rise, giving her more than £1.1 million for the new series.

"Cheryl will be the only person to come out of this with more money," a source told The People.

"She's the golden girl - everything will be done to keep her."

Presenter Dermot O'Leary will reportedly face a pay cut after ITV announced a series of cost-cutting measures following a decline in advertising revenue.

Meanwhile, Simon Cowell has had his salary guaranteed after signing a "golden handcuffs" deal with the corporation.
