Kimberley Walsh rules out 'X Factor' job

Kimberley Walsh has admitted that she would not be able to match Cheryl Cole's success on The X Factor.

The singer assisted her Girls Aloud bandmate in the 'judges' houses' stage of last year's competition, which saw Cole picking Diana Vickers, Laura White and eventual winner Alexandra Burke for her category.

Walsh has now confirmed that she would never accept a permanent position on the ITV1 talent show because she wouldn't be able to handle the stress involved.

Speaking to Celebs On Sunday, she explained: "It was so hard - I could really empathise with the contestants because of my own memories of having done Popstars: The Rivals.

"But I couldn't be a judge. There's too much pressure to handle. That's why I'm so proud of Cheryl. Out of all of us, she was definitely the most suited to that job, so there was never any jealousy."

Walsh and Cole recently completed a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief.
