Walsh compares 'X Factor' Steve to Fred West

Louis Walsh has drew comparisons X Factor finalist Steve Brookstein to serial killer Fred West.

Walsh, manager of rival group G4, made the comments on Monday's This Morning.

"Steve’s just a very average singer," he said. "He just stands there and smiles like Fred West. That’s who he looks like."

Stunned, host Fern Britton asked: "Fred West?"

Walsh repeated: "Steve and Fred West, they do look alike."

His comments sparked outrage from Brookstein's manager, Simon Cowell. "Not only does that remark question his judgement, it also questions his eyesight," he told The Sun. "It’s very tasteless and I hope he didn’t realise what he was saying."
