'X Factor' contestant: 'I almost died'

X Factor contestant Lloyd Daniels has revealed that he almost died of kidney failure.

The 16-year-old plummeted from eight stone to four stone in two weeks when his kidneys stopped working five years ago, reports the Sunday Mirror.

He said: "The weight was falling off me to the point where I was skin and bones."

Lloyd was given a second chance to impress the judges on the talent show.

He proved his singing ability with a performance of R Kelly’s 'Turn Back The Hands Of Time'.
