X Factor hopeful Olly Murs has compared himself to Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and Chris Brown.

Murs, who impressed the judges with a rendition of Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' on Saturday's live show, claimed that he is a "special" performer.

"I don't want to sound big-headed or anything but I've got something special," the 25-year-old told The Sun. "I'm not just someone who can sing. I can dance and sing. I see myself like Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo or Chris Brown.

"I think I could well be more successful than the previous male winners. Leon Jackson, Shayne Ward, Steve Brookstein are all good singers - maybe better than me. But I've got the dancing and I know that will put me ahead.

"People laughed when I said on the show that I wanted to be an international superstar. But that's exactly what I want. And I will have it."

Speaking about his new female fans, Murs added: "It's gone crazy, I've never been so popular. All these girls are messaging me and saying I'm hot. It's a real shock because I've never been the guy that pulled all the girls. I haven't had a proper girlfriend for years."

Murs decided to enter the ITV1 talent show to raise funds for his ill mother Vicky-Lynne.
