Rikki Loney 'hasn't done his best yet'

The mother of X Factor finalist Rikki Loney has claimed that viewers have not yet seen all he is capable of.

Scottish singer Loney, 22, was recently picked for the final 12 by judge Cheryl Cole. He had previously attended boot camp twice without making it any further.

Rikki's mother Irene told the Daily Record: "The whole family was over the moon and we can't wait to see him at the weekend. We don't think he's done his best yet."

A friend added: "After missing out twice, Rikki is thrilled to be in the live shows.

"He's putting everything into his performance at the weekend and hopes Scotland will get behind him like they did with Leon Jackson and with Susan Boyle in Britain's Got Talent."

The X Factor's first live episode airs on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.
