Former X Factor champion Leon Jackson has announced that he is backing fellow Scot Rikki Loney to win this year's competition.
The 20-year-old singer told the Daily Record that he became a fan of Loney when he spotted the budding star's auditions in last year's series, which saw him being sent home at boot camp.
Jackson revealed: "I've always thought he had a good voice, a good modern image and a nice tone to his voice."
He continued: "I don't think he has anything to worry about right now and I'd like to see him stay in for as long as possible and progress.
"The support Scotland can give him can help him. It's good to have the Scottish vote because we are patriotic and like to see people doing well."
Jackson triumphed in The X Factor's 2007 run, but was dropped by Simon Cowell's SyCo record label earlier this year.
