JLS: 'We're glad we didn't win X Factor'

JLS have admitted that they are glad they did not win The X Factor last year.

The boyband, who lost out to Alexandra Burke in the final, claimed that they have enjoyed opportunities since that would not have been possible had they won the ITV1 show.

"With hindsight now, we're glad we didn't win The X Factor because we wouldn't be in this position. We've had an amazing start, Alex is a deserved winner, she's a fantastic artist and we've now won two MOBOs," Marvin Hume told BBC News.

"It's not always about winning, it's not always about beating someone, it's about us establishing ourselves in the market place and having a career in music."

The group will return to the show to perform 'Everybody In Love' on November 1. Their debut album is released on November 9.
