Tabloid reports have claimed that Rachel Adedeji topped last weekend's X Factor public vote.
Earlier this week, The Sun alleged that Irish twins John & Edward had come out on top with their cover of Ricky Martin's 'She Bangs'. However, according to the Daily Star, it was actually Adedeji who finished with the most votes.
The report also claims that the Grimes brothers only escaped the bottom two by 0.5% and have been in the bottom four every week so far.
Adedeji, who was in the sing-off for the first two weeks, performed a Big Band version of 'Proud Mary' last Saturday.
"This is going to blow the whole competition wide open now," said a source. "People were actually starting to believe that the twins were going to win. But now it seems their days are well and truly numbered. They could even be out this week. And Rachel, who no-one fancies, has been piling up the votes this last week."
Danyl Johnson and Lloyd Daniels reportedly topped the voting in the first two live shows.
