Dannii Minogue has insisted that she does not hold a grudge against X Factor twins John & Edward after they were saved over her act Lucie Jones.
Jones was eliminated from the programme last night after Simon Cowell voted in favour of the brothers following the latest sing-off. His decision brought the judges' verdict to deadlock and caused show bosses to revert to the earlier viewer poll.
Speaking immediately afterwards, Minogue had appeared to make a jibe about the twins' vocal abilities, commenting: "I just wish all the good singers luck in this singing competition."
On ITV2 spinoff The Xtra Factor, she added: "I guess the only way around it is to have Stacey [Solomon] rap next week and have a whole production number. If that's what gets you through, then we'll have everyone rap."
However, the Australian later said that she did not intend to insult Louis Walsh's hopefuls, who have divided fans since their original audition.
She told show host Holly Willoughby: "We adore John & Edward. They're the nicest guys and it's not a personal thing at all, they're just divine. That's why they've got a lot of press this week, because everyone can see they're really good kids and they're working really hard."
Solomon is now the last remaining member of Minogue's Girls category.
