X Factor winner Shayne Ward has decided to start taking driving lessons.
"He's bought his mum a place and he's got somewhere nice to live himself, so all he needs now is a car in the drive," a friend told The Mirror.
"He says he wants a VW Golf or something practical, rather than a flashy sports car."
Shayne's new single No Promises is released on Monday.
