Leona "very happy" with finished album

X Factor winner Leona Lewis has flown back to her home in Hackney, East London, after finishing work on her debut album.

The 22-year-old singer spent six months recording the album with top producers in Los Angeles, and her father Joe has revealed that she is "very happy" with the finished product.

Leona's dad has admitted that spending time away from her family and boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa wasn't always easy for her. In May, he also revealed that he thought Leona had been "overdoing it", after she fell ill while recording the album.

"It hasn't all been plain sailing for Leona but now she can relax. It's been a fantastic experience," Joe told the Sunday Mirror. "Leona's been getting tonsillitis so she's had to rest. We are worried it seems to have taken a long time and her fans might get bored. But she is very, very happy with the album."

Leona will perform her new single 'Bleeding Love' on the first X Factor live show.
