Friedman discusses 'X Factor' choreography

Brian Friedman has insisted that the X Factor judges can step in to reverse any of his staging decisions.

Friedman was given the role of "creative director" after leaving the judging panel to be replaced by Louis Walsh, who had originally been axed by Simon Cowell.

Brian's choreography has caused some controversy on the show, most recently when Cowell criticised Sharon Osbourne for the use of roller-skaters in eliminated contestant Alisha Bennett's final performance. Osbourne insisted that it was not in her power to make changes to the show's staging and accused Cowell of misleading viewers.

However, in an interview with Hot TV magazine, Brian explained: "I liaise with the judges - if I've got certain things planned for acts of theirs, I run it past them to make sure there's nothing too crazy."

Asked about the four judges, he added: "They're all great! Dannii and I are best friends that never met until now. And I love Sharon to death - I think she's hilarious. I'm a huge, huge Simon fan. We have similar styles with telling people the truth, except he's a little more blunt. He's very pleased with what I've done with the show, and if he's happy, I'm happy."
